Hello from Pittsburgh!

I'm Cathy, a graphic designer and illustrator with a lifelong love for both art and running. As a child, I spent countless hours exploring my neighborhood and drawing with Crayola crayons—sometimes in that order, sometimes not. Fast forward to adulthood, and my passion for running marathons has fueled my creativity in unexpected ways. The rhythm of the run, the beauty of nature, and the ever-changing landscapes of Pittsburgh have sparked many "aha" moments in my artistic journey.

My medium of choice is pen and ink with watercolor—simple, portable, and perfect for capturing inspiration wherever my next adventure takes me. It all began when I illustrated a North Park map as a holiday gift for my running friends. From there, I decided to "run with it," and I haven’t looked back!

What started as a creative outlet from my 9-to-5 graphic design job has grown into something much bigger. Training for races taught me focus and goal-setting, skills that carried over into my artistic pursuits. I used to struggle with following through on creative ideas—now, I bring them to life, and the feeling is exhilarating!
